The Order of the Most Holy Mary Theotokos finds itself placed by God in a unique position. We believe that the Lord has established us to be a bridge between those called to the religious life, and those called to maintain a family and/or professional life. As an Independent/Autocephalous Catholic ecumenical religious order, we embrace all Christian believers and the un-churched, aiding them in their journey to God.
We find ourselves "on a journey". It is a pilgrimage that some describe as a "convergence of streams" - integrating the fundamental principles of contemplative spirituality into our modern lives - a "river whose streams make glad the city of God, the Holy Place where the Most High dwells." Psalm 46:4
As "Benedictines of Mary, Old Catholic Marianists", the Order of the Most Holy Mary Theotokos is a religious community of people who are called to worship Christ as Lord and Savior, promote devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and to serve and love others through good works and prayer, as Christ commanded.
We are an active religious community, following the Rule of Saint Benedict, yet Marian in our outlook and spirituality, and even in our prayer life.
We are on a journey to seek spiritual growth and our place in the life of the Church. We are in the midst of something powerful and overwhelming.
